Born Sept. 18, 1901, in Garrard County, Ky., she was the daughter of Luther and Ollie (Dunn) Simpson. On Aug. 8, 1931, she married John William Daniels. He died in 1964.
She had lived in Shelbyville for many years, until 1991, and had lived in Columbus until 1998.
Mrs. Daniels was a former employee of Shelby Manufacturing Co. She also worked as nurse's aide at area nursing homes and was a caretaker for a handicapped child for several years. She was a member of Vine Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Daniels, Columbus, and Bill Daniels, Ghert, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Joan) Zeigler, Mount Dora, Fla.; one sister, Dorothy Balting; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, one sister and four brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul Blair officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
