According to the records of the Monocacy Lutheran Congregation and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick, Caspar son of Frans "Francis" (b. 26 Jan 1748) and Anna Maria (Burkhart) Manz (later Mantz)( b. abt 1750). Caspar's grandparents were Johann Caspar Mantz (08 Apr 1718 - 28 Feb 1791) of Baden, Germany and Anna Christiana (Heim) (abt 1718 - aft 1790). Caspar (this memorial) was born on 23 June 1776 and christened on 6 October 1776. The sponsors were Georg and Maria Catharina Burckardt.

According to Jacob Engelbrecht's death ledgers, Caspar Mantz son of Francis died on 31 October 1839.
