Mary was born on July 5, 1924 to the late Charles J. and Nancy Marie Stater Gates. She married Grover William Crouch on July 26, 1947, who preceded her in death on February 16, 1987. Mary enjoyed word search puzzles, embroidery, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Apostolic Revival Tabernacle, she was a song director and enjoyed being active in the church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Charles Kelley officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her children, Dormilee Ruth Crouch of Columbus, Brenda Carol Michaels Columbus, Joseph C. Crouch of North Vernon, Grover Alan (Carole) Crouch of Columbus, and Connie Elaine Oliver of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Beulah Lazzell of Columbus.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald R. Gates.
