Daughter of Andrew and Helena Koltys Kolsun. Sister to Andrew Jr., and wife to Charles Edward Watkins. Mother of:

Charles Jr.
Valerie Helen
Andrea Katherine (Higgins)
Timothy
Michael Francis
Marie Josephia (Miller)
Jacqueline Mary

Her childhood years were spent between the family home in Delair, and Kolsun Bro.'s Wholesale Candy and Tobacco Co., in Camden NJ. She was schooled at St. Cecelia's Catholic School in Pennsauken NJ.

She met and married Chuck Watkins (who worked for Kolsun Bro.'s) at the age of 21.

Heartache was nothing new to her. Widowed at the young age of 39 when Chuck died of cancer, a second husband Robert "Bob" Jacobs also from cancer, and burying two daughter's gave her a unique perspective on family.

Jackie became an avid genealogist. She donated many years to helping others look for and find their family members and connect the dots to previous generations.

She donated countless hours to the Rittenhouse Marriage Indexing projects in the late 1980's and thousands of hours teaching others her "little trick's" in searching and starting their own family histories, as well as inspiring others to "keep good records".

At the time of her death she leaves 5 children, a step daughter, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
