Services for Loyce Byers Anderson, 82, of Blanchard, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 20, in the Blanchard Church of Christ, with Bro. Stephen Coley officiating. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery, Leon. Arrangements were directed by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
Born January 1, 1923, in DeQueen, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Rose Bonner Byers, she died Wednesday, August 17, 2005.
Growing up in Leon, she attended the Leon School. Mrs. Anderson moved from Oklahoma City to Blanchard in 1970. She worked for AT&T for approximately 12 years. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ, and she enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family. She was active in the Blanchard Senior Citizens, and was a loving, caring person and to her children, the best mother ever.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Barbara Harris of Burneyville and John and Susan Harris of Norman; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ronnie Arnold of Blanchard; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Madeline Pelkey of Dallas, Oregon; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Harris and Vance Anderson; a twin brother, Boyce Byers; and sisters, Lela Nunn, Kathleen Gipson and Lucille Harrison
