BRIDGES, HELEN CUTSHALL - 96 of Cleveland, TN., formerly of Etowah, passed away Friday, February 27, 2004 in a Cleveland, Tennessee hospital. She was a native of La Follette, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Uri Mowell Cutshall. Her lifelong love was being a caretaker of children. She worked for a number of years as a house parent at the Bachman Home for Children. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: parents, listed above; step-mother, Beulah Peterson Cutshall; her husband, George Bridges; brother, Floyd Cutshall and son-in-law, William H. Gann.
Survivors: daughter: Georgia Bridges Gann Cleveland, TN; her dearly beloved and precious granddaughter: Donna Marlene (Marnie) Gann de Shaw Decatur, GA; great-grandson: Connor Aslean de Shaw Davenport, FL.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, 2004 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback, TN. The Rev. Art Pflug will officiate. There will be no formal visitation. In ieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bachman Academy, 414 Brymen Creek Rd. SW, McDonald, TN 37353 or the bus fund at Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 2910 Peerless Rd., Cleveland, TN 37311. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
