Tom Abell, 92, of Paris, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, at the University Med. Center in Columbia, Mo.
Mr. Abell was born on Dec. 20, 1918 to James Madison and Mildred Gertrude Cartmell Abell. He married Norene Hughes on Feb. 10, 1938 in Palmyra, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2002.
He is survived by one son; Rox Abell, of Paris; three daughters: Mildred (Jerry) See, of Paris, Brenda (Jimmy) Moffatt, of Paris, and Janet Myers, of Kansas ity; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one son; Alfred Lee Abell; four sisters and four brothers.
He was employed with the Wabash Railroad for 37 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Stoutsville Baptist Church.
Burial in Walnut Grove cemetery at Paris, Mo.
