Baseball player.
Herb played in the West Coast Negro Baseball League. During his career he played for the Seattle Steelheads, Oakland Acorns, Birmingham Black Barons, Cincinnati Crescents and Chicago American Giants. In 1947 he played for the Harlem Globe Trotters, which at that time included baseball players. During World War two, he served in George Patton's Third Army Red Ball Express. He was inducted into the Greater New Orleans Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
