Leon R. Hachat, 45, of 202 Pennsylvania Ave., Nutter Fort, West Virginia, died at 7:10 pm Tuesday in the Oakland Veteran's Hospital, Pittsburg, PA. He was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Morgantown, West Virginia, son of Raymond J. Hachat, 136 Cimarron Road, and the Late Laura Davis Hachat, who died in 1959. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Jay Hachat, at home and Mrs. Russell (Charmaine)Purnell of 267 Buena Vista Ave.; Three brothers, Lloyd Hachat of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Charles Hachat, Mount Vernon, Ohio and Raymond J. Hachat of 104 Seneca Dr., and four grandchildren. Mr. Hachat was a glasscutter for the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Col, and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church and the Window Glass Cutters League of America A.F. of I. Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, 443 W. Pike St. after 7 pm Thursday. Funeral services will be held from the Christ Episcopal Church at 11 am Saturday, August 26. Mr. William C. Bowie, Rector of the Church will officiate. Interment, Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. On the marriage certificate application it lists Leon's address as 448 South Chestnut Street, Clarksburg, West Virginia and Virginia's address as 105 Ohio Avenue, Nutter Fort, West Virginia.

On Sep 11, 1937 when Leon Raymond was 22, he married Cora Virginia "Virginia" Jay, daughter of Harry W. Jay and Cora Bell Batson, in Clarksburg, Harrison, West Virginia. Virginia was born Nov 18, 1914 in Clarksburg, Harrison, West Virginia and died in Coldwater, Mercer, Ohio on Sep 3, 1990, she was 75. She was buried on Sep 7, 1990, in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Mt.Clare, Harrison, West Virginia. Occupation: Payroll Department, PPG.
