ANSBERRY--Louise Steinman, 85, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at her home. Known to many as Tinnie, she was the eldest daughter of James Hale and Louise Tinsley Steinman. Mrs. Ansberry was born in Baltimore, MD in 1922, attended schools in Maryland and New York City and later worked in public relations in New York as a consultant to the governments of Japan, India and Indonesia. She had a lifelong interest in Asian culture, politics and art. Mrs. Ansberry's marriages to T. Peter Ansberry and Subur Rahardja ended in divorce. Mrs. Ansberry is survived by: daughters Louise (Diane) Ansberry Rahardja, wife of Andyan Rahardja of Dallas, Texas, and Hale Ansberry Krasne, wife of Robert Krasne of Washington, DC; grandchildren James Hale Rahardja, Andrea Steinman Rahardja, William Joseph Krasne, and Margaret Duncan Krasne, and two sisters, Caroline Steinman Nunan and Beverly R. ''Peggy'' Steinman, both of Lancaster. A Memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, corner of Duke and Orange Sts., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, March 29th at 1:30pm. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday, March 29th from 12:30pm until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
