"Theodore (Ted) Glenn Werner 71, son of Rachel Downing and Levi Werner, was born February 29, 1908 at Tippecanoe Township Pulaski County, Ind. and died on Aug. 15, 1979 at Nevada, Mo. after a lingering illness. Most of his life was spent living in Bates and Vernon Counties.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Zinn on June 30, 1935 at Butler, Mo., and to this union one son was born.
Mr. Werner was a merchant in Butler for 23 years, where he owned the Gamble Store; was a member of the Christian Church of Butler where he was a deacon for 13 years. He loved the out-of-doors and was an ardent fisherman and worked with the Boy Scouts for many years."
