60, of La Plata, MD, passed away at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. Born the daughter of the late Charles Reginald, Sr. and Mary Elsie (Gardiner) Dyson.

Enjoyed reading, needle point, movies, painting ceramics and family. She was passionate about books and children. She was a loving and devoted mother and a faithful friend.

In addition to her father, Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, the late Charles R. Dyson, Jr. and the late Louis David Dyson.

Survived by her children, Sarah L. McClure (Andrew), Kathryn "Kacey" Abernathy , Johnathan "JD" Abernathy (Lauren); sisters, Deborah A. Dean, Regina Estevez (Ricky), Marla Dyson; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Theresa's Visitation on Sunday, January 11th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, January 12th, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard Gardiner officiating at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, MD.

Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617.
