Daughter of Obadiah Gore. Wife of Lieut. Timothy Pierce & Thomas Duane. Was living in the Wyoming Valley at the time of the Wyoming Massacre. She along with her family were at Forty Fort while her husband Lieutanent Timothy Pierce, who was in the regular army, had ridden forty miles through the Great swamp the night previous and came to join his friends on the battle field where he along with three of Hannah's brothers and another brother-in-law also perished.
Thomas Duane & Hannah (Gore) Pierce-Duane's "bodies were buried on a 20 acre farm, west of the little Nanticoke creek between the highway and the river. The land has been cultivated many years and there is now nothing left to indicate where the graves were made."
