Theresa Margaret (nee: Teahl) Bogue, 52, residing in New Carlisle, IN, passed away this day, February 22, 2011, in the arms of her loving and devoted husband Ralph. Theresa was born Tuesday, January 20, 1959 in Manhattan, NY. The sixth child of Lester & Patricia McLaughlin Teahl, and raised in the East Brunswick, NJ area.

On March 25, 1982 in Charlotte, NC, she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Ralph Edward Bogue. They married on Sunday, September 5, 1982 at First Presbyterian Church of South Bend. Six months after they married, they returned to the South Bend area to be close to Ralph’s family, and for him to take a position with Whiteford-Kenworth. They moved to what was called the “Old Buffalo Farm” (owned by the late Homer & Maxine Fitterling), where they lived and care for the animals for over 17 years.

They moved to New Carlisle in March of 1999. Theresa held a certificate in Food Management and was owner of a small catering company.

Theresa leaves to remember her, the greatest man she ever knew, her loving and devoted husband of 27 years, Ralph, her mother Patricia McLaughlin Teahl of Charlotte, NC; her brother, Lester (Veronica) Teahl of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Patricia Ann Teahl, Colette (Michael) Smith, of Charlotte, NC; Maureen (Sam) Kadi of Florida; and brother, Joseph (Joan) Teahl of Old Bridge, NJ, Marj Bogue Sparks of Fishers, IN; Robert (Laura) Bogue of Paris, IL; Ross (Maggie) Bogue of Chicago, IL; Rodney (Lisa) Bogue of Walkerton, IN; Kathleen (James) Jordan of Missouri, along with her sisters of her heart, Karen Bailey, Linda Fox, Ruth Roush, Jackie Hersom, Linda Behm, numerous nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

Preceeding her in death is her father, Lester David Teahl, her other parents as Theresa called them, Robert & Eleanor Bogue, along with several uncles and aunt, grandparents, James & Margaret McLaughlin, Ralph & Lucetta Teahl. Her beloved Boxer dogs-Sir Kasey (Kasson), Sir Kasey’s Lady (Boo-Boo), Buddy Kasson Boo, (Mr. Kissable) & Sir Tigger the tiger.

Theresa always enjoyed traveling with her husband across
this great land of ours, in Ralph’s eighteen-wheeler. Theresa said many times, “I have seen the beautiful parts of our country, and I have seen the worst.”

If you really wanted to see her New York attitude come out, hurt a child, older person, or animal. Then you had better run like hell. She loved to tell people, “yes, I carry a gun and I know how to use it.”
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of South Bend.
Theresa requested to be cremated. Her remains will be taken to Yellowstone National Park, and spread among her much loved Buffalo.
