Mrs. John F. Carwile
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Dec. 14, 1973, at the First Baptist Church in Owensville for Mrs. John Frank Carwile, who died Dec. 11 at her home in Owensville at the age of 77 years, one month and 15 days. Rev. Claude Stevens and Rev. Roy Jett officiated at the services with burial made in the College Hill Cemetery north of Belle.
Cora Mae Carwile was born at Judge, MO, on Oct. 26, 1896, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Phelps) Branson. On Aug. 20, 1913 she was united in marriage with John Franklin Carwile and 10 children were born to this union.
Surviving her departure besides her husband, are five sons, Earl, Floyd, Benny and Stanley Carwile, all of Owensville; Beryl Carwile, Cuba; three daughters, Mrs. Winifred Morgan, and Mrs. Wilma Mistler, both of Owensville; and Mre. Verlee Pehle, New Haven; one brother, Everett Branson, San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Sipple, Topeka, Kan.; and Mrs. Beatrice Willoughby, Kansas City; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and three brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carwile was a member of the First Baptist Church in Owensville.
