The youngest of four children of Norman Joseph Schaaf (1894-1974) and Alfrieda Charlotte Anna Elizabeth Kirschstein Schaaf (1894-1994), Annemarie grew up in Minneapolis and Bloomington, Minnesota. On March 18, 1948, she married Earle Thornton Anderson, Jr. (1926-1997), with whom she had four children: Jennifer Jeanne (b. 1949), Lawrence Earle (b. 1951), Paula Marie (b. 1953), and Stephen David (b. 1956). In 1970 in Minnesota, she married Robert Bates Meredith, a former high school classmate. After raising her family in Minnesota, Annmarie worked as a medical technician in California, where she lived for many years before returning to her home state in later life. In California, she had a third marriage in 1979, to Dr. David Waller Brown. A lively and loving person, she is deeply missed by her family. Her lifelong wish to be reunited with her older sister Edith Charlotte (born in 1918), who died in 1930 at age 12, is honored by her burial with Edith. Annmarie's other siblings were Norman David Schaaf (1921-1997) and Gloria Ann Schaaf Lyle (1926-2014).
