Franklin D. Corbin

Franklin D. Corbin, age 72, of Leavenworth, Kansas, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Born July 23, 1942, in LaBelle, Missouri, Franklin was the son of Mont Corbin and Dorothy L. (Anderson) Robertson. Franklin D. Corbin was united in marriage to Ann M. Dunn on November 19, 1965, in Vinita, Oklahoma.

Having spent most of his life as a truck driver, Franklin retired from UPT Transportation out of Wichita, Kansas. Camping, fishing on Truman Lake and dealing in cars were his favorite pastimes.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ann; four sons, Randy, Stacy, Brent and Dennis Corbin, all of Leavenworth; three grandchildren; three sisters, Rena Hendricks of Clarence, Missouri, Gloria Underwood of Lake City, Florida, and Georgia Edwards of Knox City, Missouri; five brothers, Melvin Robertson of Winfield, Leroy Corbin of Hurdland, Jackie Corbin of Hampshire, Tennessee, Monte Corbin of Lewistown, and Dane Corbin of Greenville, Ohio; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Inurnment services are planned at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly, Missouri.
