Harry Myles Barnes, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday January 18, 2015 at Carson Speaks Chapel; 1501 W Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. A Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday January 19, 2015 at the Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. Harry was born in Sugar Creek, MO on September 17, 1934, to Harry and Beatrice (Wyman) Barnes. Harry worked for over 44 years for Armco, and later GST. He loved to play different instruments, and listen to old country music, and gospel. Harry's favorite past time was just sitting around, and talking. Survivors include; wife of 32 years, Linda (Hewitt); sons Larry Barnes, Allen Barnes, and Darren Fox; daughter Michelle Pavlich; grandchildren Christopher Barnes, and Jenna Fox; brother Frank Barnes; sister DeLores Peak. He was preceded in death by a brother George Barnes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Harry's honor.
