Lillian Lucille Strickland, age 89 of Lilburn, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Mrs. Strickland was born to the late Jesse Jackson and Sleetie (Doss) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Joyce Jackson, Midred Brodnax, Betty Berry, and brother Dr. James Jackson, and her loving husband of 56 years, Marvin L. (Jake) Strickland. Mrs. Strickland is survived by her sisters Velma Minor, Montine Chapman, Florine Pittard, Linda Pierce and her husband Doug Pierce, sister-in-law Sandra Jackson, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Strickland was a member of Luxomni Baptist Church, worked at Warner Robbins and Sears and retired after 34 years with Equifax. She was a member of Eastern Star, served 1993 and 1997 as the Worthy Matron of the Luxomni Chapter, and also received her 25 year pin. The Funeral Service to honor the life of Lillian Lucille Strickland will be held on January 16, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Luxomni Baptist Church or the Marvin L.
