Services for Maxine Foster were Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Marietta Church of Christ with Mr. Floyd Johnson and Mr. James Snyder officiating.
Born March 18, 1911 in Petrolia, Clay, Texas. Mrs. Foster died December 4, 1989 at her home in Marietta at the age of 78. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lee Abbe.
Mrs. Foster was a retired waitress and had lived most of her life in Love County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Foster married Calvin C. Foster in 1928 in Love County, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on 11 December 1970. She was also preceded in death by her son Maxey Lee Foster who died on December 24, 1955.
Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-laws, Bob and Barbara Foster of Oklahoma City; Jack and Bonnie Foster of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Val and Rosie Foster of Marietta; a sister, Evaglen Barfield of Marietta; a step-brother, Ernest Smith of Walters; and four step-sisters, Annie McWhorter of Duncan; Mildred Gore of Walters; Georgie Smallwood of Temple and Ellen Eddington of Bakersfield, California; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Interment in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Kennedy Funeral Home.
