Amy E. Talbert, 92, formerly of Wooster, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.

She was born Jan. 3, 1909, in Wooster to Fred L. and Helen May Whittier Doty. Ms. Talbert was a jewelry buyer and manager of Rapps Jewelry in Medina for 15 years. She previously was at Beulah Bechtels and Sears prior to moving to Parma and later Medina. Ms. Talbert was an avid golfer and won several tournaments in the Cleveland area. She moved from Medina to Wooster in 1994.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald L. Doty of Tulsa, Okla., and David E. Doty of Wooster, and sister, Ruth A. (Robert) Smith of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred, and sisters, Helen Harding, Harriet Duplain and Charlotte Yeagley.

Private services will be held with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan.
