Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod teacher, who first taught in a public school in East St. Louis, Illinois before teaching in Lutheran schools in St. Louis, Missouri; Wausau, Wisconsin and Cleveland, Ohio. He was an organist, composer and choir director and served on the music committee for "The Evangelical Lutheran Hymnbook", 1912.

Polack: Herman A., age 67 years, beloved husband of Wilhelmina, father of Mrs. A. H. Eickoff of Indianapolis, Ind., Prof. W. G. Poleck of St. Louis, Mo., Herman A., jr., Theodore C., Mrs. G. A. Braun of Lorain, Ohio., Marie, Paul and Christine, passed away Friday, April 25, 1930, at late residence, 1353 Edwards Avenue, Lakewood, where services will be held Monday, April 28, at 1:30 p. m. and 2 p. m. from Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Manor Park and Detroit Avenue, Lakewood. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
