She outlived both her husbands and married again at age 81. She left to mourn seven grand children from Percy and Eliza, and seven grand children from her daughter in law Lucille Viola Watts. Mary had one sister Lula who bore 14 children, including Johnny Lee Williams who wrote her obituary. Her history is vase and she loved telling stories from her Grandmother's plantation/ slave days. Her grandmother was freed from slavery in 1865, she was 12 years old.
