In 1963, he moved to Golden. He spent the majority of his life working in the logging industry; as a faller for many years before taking over the position of road supervisor. George lived a quiet life playing violin in the privacy of his own home and spending quality time with the members of his family. He was also very supportive and dedicated to his church.
George was predeceased by his parents; one brother Harvey and four sisters: Fern, Dean, Margaret and Edee.
Mr. George John Cameron passed away at his residence in Golden on Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 with his family at his side. A memorial funeral service was held from the Golden Pentecostal Church on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 with Pastor Jim Dorst officiating. Interment of the cremated remains took place in the family plot of Mountain View (Legion) Cemetery, Golden. Flowers acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, in memory of George.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three children; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
