PVT. OTTO C. BARTHOLMA, 22, son of Mrs.
Freida Deacon, 12913 Miles Avenue, S.E.;
Killed Nov. 17 in France.

Pvt. Bartholma, whose wife, Rose, lives at
12333 St. Clair Avenue, N.E., fought with
the infantry, according to his mother. His
father, Otto Bartholma, lives in Detroit.
He has a son, Otto C. Bartholma, III, one
year old.

The soldier, who had been reported missing
on the date he died, attended John Adams
High School, and entered the service in
November 1943. After training at Camp
Wheeler, Ga., and Fort Benning, Ga., he
went overseas last July.

Besides his parents, wife, and son, his
survivors include two sisters, Mrs.
Dorothy Sharillo, 3422 E. 103rd Street;
and Mrs. Ruth Zelagney, 3412 E. 52nd
Street; and twin brothers, Richard
and Robert Deacon, 16.

Memorial services will be held tomorrow
at 10:30 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran
Church, East Boulevard and Union Avenue
S.E.

Crown Hill Cemetery, following services
in the Chapel there at 1 p.m. today.
Military escort will be from Bedford
Post 350, American Legion.

Pvt. Bartholma is survived by his wife,
Rose; his son, Otto, III; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bartholma; two brothers,
and a sister. Friends may call at the
Ebersold Funeral Home, 40 Tarbell Avenue,
Bedford.
