WM. M. WEIGHT OF AUBURN DIES OF STOMACH CANCER

Cancer of the stomach claimed the life of William Michael Weicht, age 72, of 331 East Eleventh street, Auburn, at 7:15 Thursday morning. He had been in a serious condition for the past six months.

Mr. Weicht was a life long resident of DeKalb county and spent most of his active years at farming. For the past 17 years he had resided in Auburn.

He was born near the Mt. Pleasant church in DeKalb county on Sept. 26, 1870, and was married on Nov. 23, 1897 to Minnie Mutzfeld, who survives.

Other survivors are two children, Mrs. Mildred Traut of Sacramento. Calif., and Albert Weicht of east of Auburn; four granddaughters, Mrs. Marjorie Mettercutt of Sacramento, Calif., and Doris, Phyliss and Carolyn Weicht of near Auburn; three brothers, John, a twin, Ezra and George, all of near Butler and one sister, Mrs. H. W. Lanning of Cadillac, Mich.

Mr. Weicht was a Member of the United Brethren church.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Church of God in Auburn Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Herman Hedges officiated. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery.
