Dominic R. Arthur, age 13, of Spencer, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Spencer. He was born in Greencastle, on December 22, 2001, the son of James and April (Hassler) Arthur.

Dominic was a seventh grade student at Owen Valley Middle School. He enjoyed spending time with friends, playing football, and just joined the Super Bowl mathematics team. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, and hanging around with his sisters.

He attended the First Pentecostal Church of Spencer. He loved being a member of 4-H, doing projects and showing animals.

He is survived by his parents; his three sisters, Jennifer, Britteny, and AnneMarie; his maternal grandparents, Linda (Clark) Shoemaker of Spencer and Terry (Connie) Hassler of Lexa, Arkansas; paternal grandparents, Garold and Rhonda Arthur of Spencer; paternal great-grandparents, Johnnie and Mildred Freeman; uncles, Donnie (Allyson) Hassler, Thomas (Penny) Arthur, and Bradley (Reni) Arthur; aunts, Antoinette Hassler, and Amy Shoemaker; and his loving cousins.

He passed away with his uncle, Clark Edward Shoemaker, Jr..

Funeral service will be held at First Pentecostal Church of Spencer at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015. Reverends Mark Sturgell and Davy Dyer will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 2-8 p.m., and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the WRV Youth Football League. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.
