Joseph Thrush was called for trial on a serious charge preferred by Charles J. Raudabaugh who lives at Mt. Rock. The alleged assault occurred September 19 on Laura Raudabaugh, while the parents were away from home. Thrush who is 21, and married, denied the charge. Another witness for the defense, Raymond Shope, admitted that he had been intimate with the girl.

Norman Zimmerman, Carlisle, operating a car while drunk, will no longer be allowed to operate one, the court said. He was sentenced to pay costs, $200 fine and fifteen months in jail but he may be paroled December 24. On a charge of adultery and bastardy he was sentenced to pay costs, fine of five dollars, $15 expenses, and a dollar a week, until the child is sixteen years old. Zimmerman is a married man. The prosecutrix was Laura Raudabaugh.

Mrs. Laura Riggleman, Carlisle, R.D. 3, widow of Charles Riggleman, died Saturday at the Carlisle Hospital. She was a member of the McClure's Gap Church of God.

She is survived by ten children: Mrs. Marie Smith, Newville, Leroy Gutshall, Newville, R.D. 2; Dale Spidle, Carlisle, R.D. 3; Robert Zimmerman, Newville; Charles Riggleman, Carlisle, R.D. 1; Anna Mae and Curtis Riggleman, Newville; Tillie Riggleman, Carlisle; Clinton and William Riggleman, Carlisle, R.D. 3; her father, Charles Raudabaugh, Carlisle, R.D. 1; three brothers, Jesse D. Raudabaugh, Carlisle, R.D. 5; C. Lester Raudabaugh, Pleasant Hall, Pa.; Grant Raudabaugh, Greason, and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 on Tuesday in the Rearick Funeral Home, Newville. Burial will be in McClure's Gap Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home from 7 to 9.

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Laura Riggleman who died Saturday night in the Carlisle hospital following a stroke. She was found unconscious in the comfort station near the courthouse Saturday evening.

She was a member of the McClure Gap Church of God.

She is survived by her father, Charles J. Raudabaugh of Carlisle R. R. 1; 10 children, Mrs. Marie Smith, Newville; Leroy Gutshall, Newville R. R. 2; Dale Spidle, Carlisle R. R. 3; Robert Zimmerman, Newville; Charles Riggleman, Carlisle R. 1; Anna Mae and Curtis Riggleman of Newville; Tillie Riggleman of Carlisle; Clinton and William Riggleman of Carlisle R. R. 3; three brothers, Jesse D. Raudabaugh, Carlisle R. R. 5; C. Lester Raudabaugh, Pleasant Hall and Jay Grant Raudabaugh of Greason and 13 grandchildren.

Services were held from the Rearick funeral home with interment in the McClure's Gap cemetery (sic).
