Joseph A. Shenck, 57, died suddenly of a heart attack at 11 o'clock last night at his home, 116 East Penn Street. His wife died last October of pneumonia.
Son of the late Christian and Nancy Shenck, he formerly lived in New Cumberland. He was a life long member of the Church of God at McClure's Gap.
He is survived by five children Ora, Evelyn, Ray and Opal, all at home, and Mrs. Ira Arnold, North Bedford Street; two brothers, Frank Shenck, Harrisburg, and Herman Shenck, Etters; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Milward, Highspire, and Mrs. Lillian Fink and Mrs. Annie Spangler, both of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the J.R. Shulenberger parlors, West High Street. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Cumberland. Friends may call at Shulenberger's tomorrow night.
