Dianne Yvonne Sylvester (Jackson), Mama D, 52, residing in Sierra Vista, Arizona, since July 1994 and a native of Toledo, Ohio, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Jan. 14, 2015. She passed away on Jan. 14, 2015, in Tucson, Arizona, at the Northwest Medical Center.
Dianne will forever be missed, loved, and remembered by many friends and family members as a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dianne was born on April 28, 1952, to Ernest Jackson and Rosetta Turner in Toledo, Ohio.
She is survived by her father, Ernest Jackson; husband, Tom L. Sylvester; brothers, Ernest J. Jackson Jr., Ennis G. Jackson, and Brandon K. Jackson; sister, Chanelle C. M. Jackson; daughters, Raqueal E. M. Jackson, Amy R. L. Wilson, Shannora M. L. Teer, Rosetta V. L. Sylvester, Dianne Y. Sylvester II, and Joan K. I. Sylvester; and sons, Charles R. L. Wilson, Reuben J. L. Sylvester, Henry T. L. Sylvester, Jr., Robert B. D. Sylvester, and Joe S. L. Sylvester.
She is preceded in death by son, Christopher R. S. Sylvester; and mother, Rosetta Turner.
Dianne was a devoted, loving wife to Tom L. Sylvester for 41 years, a homemaker, and an awesome mother and grandmother who took in other children and loved them as her own.
She worked in Toledo, Ohio, at the Fox Run Nursing Home; and when she got to Sierra Vista, she worked as a nurse assistant at the Life Care Center until she was unable to work.
She also was a member at Christian House Fellowship, where she felt at home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jensen’s Mortuary, and the funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Holy Ghost Headquarters on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10:30 a.m.
