Jessie Bishop Jones

Jessie Bishop Jones, Aged 72, Route 5 Harrison, died Thursday, April 10, at Boone County Hospital, after suffering a heart attack at her home Tuesday, April 8.

A lifelong resident of the Harrison and Alpena areas, she was a member of the First Baptist church. Her hobby was baking for her friends and many will remember her apple pies for Banta Orchard.

Survivors include two sons, John Allan and Ken Jones, both of Harrison; three daughters, Sue Carole McElroy, Harrison; Glenna Ragan, Springfield, MO; Linda Reinerio, Lincoln, Neb.; three sisters, Maymie Whitaker and Ruby Williams, both of Harrison; Freeda Banta, Green Forest; sever grandchildren, Kim Paul, Lincoln, Neb.; Kelly, Kent and Kerry Ragan, Springfield.; Shelly, Stacy and Jentry Jones, Harrison.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Caldwell officiating. Burial was in the Alpena Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Banta, Henry Williams, Ronnie Williams, Kent Ragan, John e. Whitaker and John C. Whitaker.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
