Hepburn Thomson, 92, a resident of the Bowden district for 82 years, passed away on July 23.
He was born in The Pas, Manitoba on May 5, 1885 and came to the Red Lodge district west of Bowden with his parents at the age of 10. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Colin Thomson and Hepburn lived his entire life some 76 years on his original homestead. Mr. Thomson was a farmer first but was a lover of nature and the outdoors.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie, the former Marjorie Robinson of the Cottonwood district whom he married in 1919 and by a son, Edgar and one granddaughter.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Helen) Fulton, Bowden, and Mrs. Jens (Beatrice) Kure, also of Bowden. Also surviving are four grandchildren; a brother, Evan, Red Deer, and a number of nieces and nephews.
