Services were scheduled today at 2 p.m. at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home for Dorothy Estella Dailey, 76, of Route 2, Charles Town, who died Monday in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The Rev. James Chambly, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, will officiate with interment in Edge Hill Cemetery.

Born July 23, 1912, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Annie Catherine "Wilt" Dailey.

She was retired in 1977 from the J.C. Penney Company in Charles Town after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church here and of the Friendly Sunday School Class of the church.

Never married, her survivors include a sister, Mrs. Arbutus D. Magaha, of Route 2, Charles Town; a brother, Arnold W. Dailey, Sr., of Kearneysville; and nieces and nephews.

Three sisters, Daisy Carter, Elizabeth Gano and Annabel Carter, and one brother, Russell Dailey, preceded her in death.
