Wife of Chief Justice Roger Brooke Taney and sister of Francis Scott KeyWife of Roger Brooke Taney to whom she was married on June 7, 1806 at Tera Rubra north of Toms Creek, Frederick County, Maryland which was the estate of her parents, Anne Phoebe Penn Dagworthy (Charlton) and General John Ross Key. Her brother was Francis Scott Key. She gave birth to seven children: Ann Arnold Taney who would marry James Mason Campbell; Elizabeth Maynadier Taney who would marry William Stevenson; Ellen Mary Taney; Augustus Brooke Taney, who died before his third birthday; Sophia Brooke Taney who would marry Francis Taylor; Maria Key Taney who would marry Richard T. Allison and Alice Carroll Taney. She died in Baltimore.She was the daughter of John Ross and Ann Phoebe Key.
She was also the wife of Chief Justice Roger Brooke who is buried with his mother in cemetery number 198 (Fred. Cath.)

She died at Old Fort Comfort.
