Karen Louise Peaslee, 47, of Seymour, Indiana passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. Mrs. Peaslee was born on June 28, 1967 in Columbus, Indiana the daughter of James A. "Doc" Brewer and Olive Jean Mize Brewer. She married Greg Peaslee on August 26, 1989 at the First Christian Church in North Vernon, Indiana; he survives. Mrs. Peaslee was a 1985 graduate of Jennings County High School in North Vernon, Indiana. She was a homemaker and a member of MOP (Mothers of Preschoolers) and Christ Way Christian Church in North Vernon, Indiana. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, listening to music, researching genealogy and studying the Bible. She is survived by her husband, Greg Peaslee of Seymour, Indiana; her children, Caity Peaslee and Nic Peaslee both of Seymour, Indiana, Ian (Misty Anne Dickinson) Peaslee of North Vernon, Indiana; a granddaughter, Emma LeAnn Russel of North Vernon, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Jane Marie and Angela Brewer. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Christ Way Christian Church in North Vernon, Indiana with the Rev. Dan Denney officiating. Friends may call at the Christ Way Christian Church in North Vernon, Indiana on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana were entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
