Born in Germany in April 1842 his first wife Anna Maria Hammer died in 1896 age 45 of TB, his second wife Catherine died in 1906 at age 33, she is buried with him in the family plot as is his daughter Mary Anna {Maurer} Leary. Michael Maurer worked as a bottler in a Brewery in 1880 and at the time of his death in 1905 at age 63 he was a Barn Boss.
