Betty Ann Comingore
Born: September 02, 1926
Died: January 23, 2015

Betty Ann Terry Comingore died on January 23, 2015. She was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on September 2, 1926 to Edward Terry and Hazel Canine Terry. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Joe Comingore, her daughter Connie and husband Jean Haham and her son Terry Comingore and wife Linda, as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Betty grew up in Aransas Pass and then attended Texas A&I College in Kingsville. She married Joe, the handsome Navy man, in 1945. As the wife of an Exxon engineer, she moved and set up home again and again until in 1982 Joe retired, and they chose to live in Seguin. Here, Betty became an active member of the community. She worked for 19 years as a volunteer repairing books at the Seguin Public Library. Over the years Betty was a member of the Friends of the Library, the Conservation Society, the Genealogy Society and the Presbyterian church. She took pleasure in doing years of research into the history of Seguin, and she wrote family histories of both her family and Joe’s.
A visitation will take place at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, at 165 Tor Drive, Seguin, telephone: 830-549-5912. There will be a short service in the visitation room at 7:00 p.m. You may make a memorial donation to the Seguin Conservation Society, the Seguin Public Library or the charity of your choice. At the request of family, no flowers please.
The family wish to express their deep gratitude to those who have cared for Betty and Joe with warmth and understanding in the last year, particularly, Sandy Redden, Mary Hernandez, Jamie Lum, Faye Thompson, Penny and Misty Kleinschmidt, Patti Laing, Rebecca Ortiz, Bil Sullivan, and Gloria Castellon, as well as to the Hospice nurses who have been warm, efficient and caring. We are thankful as well to Colin and Lynn Clark, Greg Anders, George Weaver, Charlie Redden, and Dale Warus, and the many other friends and neighbors who have been there time and again for the Comingores.
