Lawrence "Lorny" Acker, age 86, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at UW Hospital in Madison following a brief illness. He was born on October 29, 1926 in Ashton to Frank X and Helen (Spahn) Acker.

He married Tharsilla "Sally" Endres on September 28, 1950. Lorny was born, raised, and took over the family farm, he enjoyed playing cards, feeding the birds, trips to HoChunk and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Gary (Sharon), Maureen Nartowicz, Luann (Michael) McNally, Tom (Sara), and Bonnie (Jamie) Dahlk; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion Hensen, Delores (Leonard) Bollig, Helen Gilles, Jane Whitt, and Jeanette (Carl) Kurt; and sisters-in-law, Lilly, Marilyn, Evelyn and Pat.

Lorny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ray (Rose), Edmund, Greg,Jerome in childhood, Jerome and Casper; sister Marcella (Laurence) Wagner; son-in-law, Robert Nartowicz; grandson, Matthew and brothers-in-law, Clem Hensen, Alfred Gilles, and Bill Whitt.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 7121 County Trunk K, Middleton. The Rev. Brian Dulli will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 County Trunk Q, Waunakee. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank Father Dulli, Father Monte,Sister John Rose for all their prayers and support and Dr Thompson and the staff at Dean Clinic in Waunakee.
