William S. Welch, a twenty year resident of Inglenook, died January 30, 1941. He was born February 24, 1865 in Illinois and moved to Fresno in 1889. After a short time he went on to Madera and worked as superintendent for the Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Company. About 1922 he came to Fort Bragg and took up farming at Inglenook. In Madera he married Segerie Frickstad September 29, 1901. They had three daughters: Mrs. Carrie Whitney of Modesto, Mrs. Ethel Herndon of Bakersfield and Mrs. Grace Ralston of Seattle, Washington. There were two sons, Ralph and Forrest Welch of Fort Bragg. A brother, Morey Welch of Modesto and sister, Stella Hansen of Fresno also survived. The funeral was led by Rev. J. Lewis Kent February 1st. Burial was at Rose Memorial.
