He was retired from Red River Army Depot and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also retired from the United States Air Force Reserved 917th Unit at Barksdale Air Force Base in June of 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church Nash, Living Link Sunday School Class and a deacon. Lowell was an avid fisherman, hunter and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Baird, his parents, T. W. and Irene Baird, one brother, Wallace Baird, four sisters, Blanchie Baird, June Larey, Miliare Chadwell and Gwen Holcomb.
