Tues. Feb. 17, 1909
"Eldred Arnold, aged four years, four months and 21 days, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.F. Arnold, died Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, after an illness of two week's duration. Funeral services were held at Greenwood cemetery at 4 o'clock Saturday evening, conducted by Rev. I.B. Manly, pastor of the North Marshall Methodist Church.
Although Mr. and Mrs. Arnold have but recently moved to Harrison county, they have a large circle of friends and acquaintances, who sympathize with them in their hour of trouble, and we can only say to them, cheer up, for their loved one is not dead, but sleeping."
