CHAFFEE - Fred Ivan Drew, 67 years old, of Chaffee, died at 11:24 p.m. Monday, October 31, 1983, at Chaffee General Hospital.

He was born Jan. 25, 1916, at Naylor, son of Fred and Molly Stroud Drew.

Mr. Drew was a retired Frisco Railroad conductor. He was a member of the United Transportation Union.

A veteran of World War II, having served with the Army, Mr. Drew was a member of Chaffee Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Home 3127 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Naylor First Christian Church and Hayti Masonic Lodge 571.

On June 15, 1963, he married the former Bessie Bea Dailey of Chaffee.

Surviving are his wife; a son Thomas F. Drew, Chaffee; daughters, Mrs. Barbara Ann Mills, Harvester, Mrs. Linday Gay Eichhorn, Chaffee, and Mrs. Vickie Jane Moore, of the home; brothers, Floyd Drew, Caruthersville, and Herbert Drew, Blytheville, Ark.; sisters, Mrs. Revola Walsh, El Reno, Okla., and Mrs. Viola Thompson, Hayti, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepson.

The body is at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, where friends may call after 7 tonight.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Arvil Huffman, pastor of the General Baptist Church of Chaffee, officiating. Burial will be in the Union Park Cemetery.
