The death of Avery G. Lamb occurred at the family home early Friday morning, after a lingering illness. The deceased was 61 years of age and the greater part of his life has been spent in this community. He is survived by one brother, Epinetus T. Lamb, with whom he lived, and a niece, Mrs. Julia Tozer, of Rochester; also a niece and nephew, Miss Minnie Lamb and Harry Lamb, both living in California. The funeral services were held from the Baptist Church at one o'clock on Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. V. A. Sage, of Clifton Springs. Burial was in the family plot in the cemetery at Phelps.
