The last child I found to belong to them was Joanne born in February 1950. It is believed that Rebecca died in 1855 in Polk Co, Missouri. Joseph went on and married again to Sarah Francis Dawson in 1855 in Missouri. Sarah's first husband had been William Andrew Zumwalt, Sarah and Joseph's marriage produced two children Lewis Wisdom Hogg and Joanne "Josie" Garner Hogg. Joseph died in 1859 in Greene TS, Polk Missouri and Sarah married John H Brannon in 1862 and had one daughter Sarah Frances Brannon.
I have found no records of burial on Joseph or Rebecca and when talking to the Polk County Historical Society of Missouri they have no records showing the burial place. They told me that many of the small church's there had not kept records on the deaths and if no headstone had been placed or had disappeared over the years the only listings they have are from walking and listing the graveyards. It's likely they are buried in Lindley Creek Church Cemetery because many of the family are buried there.
I hope this will be of some help to anyone researching this family, but remember this is my interpretation of the facts as I have found them and there is the possibility of error.
The son of Joseph and Rebecca, John Baker Hogg is my second great grandfather.
Children I have listed to Joseph and Rebecca:
Jack, Mary L, Nancy, Susannah, Martha Ann, John Baker, Rueben Thomas, Joseph William, Sarah Elizabeth, Jesse H and Joanne
