A devoted and much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Ventress. She died Thursday, June 29, 2006, in Baton Rouge. She was 86 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Dodds, Linda Caillet and Sharon Gautreau; six grandchildren, Rhonda Caillet of Dallas, Jeffery Dodds, Jennifer Dodds Waghalter and husband Sigmund, Jamie Dodds Cangelosi and husband John of New Orleans, Stephanie Gautreau Buescher and husband David of Memphis, Tenn., and Scott Gautreau; and five great-grandchildren, Payton and Lauren Dodds, Matthew and Harrison Waghalter and Cecilia Cangelosi. She is also survived by a sister, Audrey Monceret; three sisters-in-law, Violet Gauthier of Prairieville, and Mildred Marsal and Ruby Vince of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Victor Vince; parents, Eugene and Eugenia Gauthier; brothers, Jake and Kirby Gauthier; and sister, Iva Gauthier. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, July 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, July 3, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, celebrated by the Rev. Mike Collins. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Dodds, Scott Gautreau, Gene Gauthier, S.J. Vince, John Cangelosi and David Buescher. The family wishes to thank St. Joseph Hospice and caregivers, Barbara Thomas, Lillie Southall and Leslie Booker.
