Travis Trechia, 34, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at Providence St. Peters Hospital, Olympia, Wash., following a brief illness.
Travis was born July 15, 1980, in Warren, the son of Carman and Rita Trechia.
He moved to Olympia to become his older brother's primary caregiver and was pursuing a career in the music industry, recording his own album.
Besides his mother, Rita Benoit of Warren, Travis is survived by a brother, Carman (fiancee Kimberley Martindale), of Olympia, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Robert Benoit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cortland, with a reception to follow.
Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Cortland, at a later date.
