A friend to all, John will be remembered for the joy he had of helping others and the passion he had for fixing old cars and fishing. He was owner/operator of John's Precision Auto Body and was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge #1705. John was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Mashburn is survived by, in addition to his mother, his loving wife of 25 years, Cindy Mashburn; two sons, Michael James Mashburn and Aaron Lee Mashburn, both of the home; one daughter, Angela Burgess and husband Chris of Morganton; one brother, Dale Lytle of Valdese; one sister, Lori Lytle of Hickory and two grandsons.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home with Pastor David Bean officiating. Interment will follow at Murphy's Chapel Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army.
