Longtime Parkland resident Charles H. Guest died at home on May 2, 2006 at the age of 88. He was loved and respected by those who had the good fortune to know him and will be remembered for his generosity and kindly spirit. Charles was born in Jacksonville, FL on April 28, 1918. In 1940 he joined the Army Air Corps and witnessed the attack on Pearl Harbor. Following his retirement as a Master Sergeant in 1968, he worked at Puget Sound Bank for 14 years. Charles always loved to tell stories about his childhood and Military experiences. He enjoyed woodworking, taking pictures, and collecting coins and other trinkets, along with feeding the squirrels in his yard. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rosetta.
