Angelina (Angeline) Hildebrand was one of 12 children born to Conrad Hildebrand II and Catherine Young. She married Henry J. Stillwell of Burke Co., NC who was the son of Tillman Stillwell and Rachel Albert. Angelina and Henry had 5 sons: Amos, Monroe, John Pinkney, Henry Harrison, and Alfonso L. Stillwell. Angelina's husband, Henry J. Stillwell, enlisted in Co. K 35th Regiment and died in Richmond, VA. He is buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA. In the 1870 Burke Co. census Angelina was living in the home of her sister, Juliana and her husband, David A. Hildebrand, and their children. Angelina's mother, Catherine Hildebrand, was also living in the household. In the 1880 Burke Co. census, Angelina was living in the home of her son, Harrison Stillwell and his wife, Mary. That is the last known record of Angelina. She was probably buried in the Hildebrand cemetery in Burke Co., NC with many family members, but a marker does not exist today.
