Ina Lou Trahern 81, of Flagler, went home to be with her Lord on May 26, 2014, while surrounded by her family.

Ina Lou was born on July 19, 1932. She and her sister Norma Jean Moore (also of Flagler) were raised by their mother Opal Joy and Stepfather Elmer Joy of Flagler and their grandparents Ina Lucinda Conarty and Walter Conarty.

Ina Lou married her sweetheart, Charles Andrew Trahern, June 10, 1951 and both were blessed with four children, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren (with one more on the way soon).

Ina Lou was an avid, self-taught piano player who played by ear and always enjoyed singing songs with family and friends. She never passed up the opportunity to write a letter and often included in those letters the birthdays and anniversaries of all of her family members, as well as a plethora of jokes she enjoyed sharing. Ina Lou was a thoughtful host and always welcomed a visit, touting the fact that she once invited an entire marching band into her home to get a drink of water. Her guests could always expect to be well cared for, to be prayed for and invited to take part in an impromptu communion with grape juice. She was a strong ambassador for Christ, making sure all she met had the opportunity to have Jesus in their heart.

Ina Lou was reunited with her husband Charles in heaven.

She is survived by her three sons Charles Lynn (Linda) Trahern of Mead; Robert Steve (Mary) Trahern of Longmont; and Calvin Eugene (Liz) Trahern of Broomfield; and one daughter Brenda Louise (Don) Barger of Boston, MA. Ina Lou is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, her sister Norma Jean (whom she talked with daily), and a large number of family and friends who will miss her and her “bubbling” personality.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Flagler Baptist Church, 526 Pawnee Avenue, Flagler, CO 80815, on Friday May 30, 2014 at 11am. Interment will follow at a later date.
